The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has underscored the importance of strengthening global security oversight within the air cargo industry. The association emphasized the need for greater alignment among pre-loading advance cargo information programs to enhance efficiency and ensure the smooth movement of goods worldwide.
“IATA recognizes that safety and security are shared responsibilities across the entire cargo ecosystem,” said Brendan Sullivan, IATA’s Global Head of Cargo. “Modernizing global frameworks and reinforcing cooperation between governments and industry partners will be essential to maintaining the secure flow of global trade.”
The call reflects ongoing efforts to update industry standards and improve coordination as international cargo volumes continue to expand.
