Yango Group launches b2b division ‘Yango Tech’ in Africa to drive AI and digital transformation

By HER stsff reporter

Yango Group, the global technology conglomerate, has officially launched its dedicated business-to-business (B2B) division, Yango Tech, on the African continent. Announcing the launch from Kigali, the group unveiled a comprehensive platform designed to provide artificial intelligence (AI) and robust digital infrastructure solutions tailored for corporate enterprises, urban administrations, and government organizations across Africa.

The strategic expansion marks a significant milestone in Yango Group’s continental trajectory, shifting its operational focus beyond consumer-facing digital services toward large-scale enterprise technology and AI applications.
Yango Tech’s diverse service portfolio includes automated ride-hailing management, digitized healthcare systems, financial technology integrations, and advanced e-commerce solutions. The platform is engineered to support regional organizations in modernizing infrastructure, accelerating workflow automation, and integrating proprietary AI tools directly into daily operations.

According to a recent macroeconomic study by McKinsey, generative AI technologies hold the potential to unlock between $61 billion and $103 billion in economic value for Africa annually. Reflecting this massive economic outlook, the study highlights that over 40% of African corporate entities are currently in various stages of deploying AI-driven solutions.
Concurrently, the demand for enterprise-grade digital infrastructure continues to scale up. Data from the GSMA notes that the transport sector alone contributed $220 billion to the African economy in 2024, a figure projected to climb to $270 billion by 2030 as corporate technologies and automated digital services expand further.

Beyond its core software offerings, Yango Tech will offer dedicated AI consultation services to assist institutions in identifying high-value business use cases, mapping out long-term implementation blueprints, assessing Return on Investment (ROI), and standardizing data governance protocols. Specialized executive and operational training programs will also be introduced to facilitate smooth structural transitions.

“African markets are demonstrating a rapidly growing demand for systematic automation, structural modernization, and actionable artificial intelligence solutions,” stated Adeniyi Adebayo during the official media briefing.

“Yango Tech’s fundamental objective is to assist organizations in implementing these technologies in a manner that improves immediate operational efficiency while securing long-term digital transformation.”
Yango Group brings proven technical expertise to the region, having previously implemented successful Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) frameworks across Central Asia. These frameworks included real-time ambulance tracking systems designed to optimize emergency dispatch coordination and maximize data transparency between medical centers and patients.

Ahead of its full continental rollout, Yango Tech has already initiated pilot implementations in South Africa and Mozambique, deploying targeted systems across the transport, healthcare, and e-commerce sectors. Company executives described these initial deployments as successful first steps toward an extensive, long-term technical expansion strategy across Africa.
