Brand Africa 100 has named RIDE Ethiopia the Brand of the Year at its 16th annual brand recognition ceremony held in Addis Ababa. The award was presented at an event honoring brands that have made a significant mark in the sector.
RIDE Ethiopia, led by Hybrid Designs, was recognized for quickly becoming a preferred urban transport option through its affordable fares and wide availability. The company was also cited for creating job opportunities and income streams for tens of thousands of people.
In addition to its transport services in Addis Ababa and other Ethiopian cities, RIDE Ethiopia also operates in Djibouti. Its food delivery service, RIDE Foods, was also mentioned as part of the brand’s growing reach.
The award was received by Samrawit Fikru, head of RIDE Ethiopia.
